Yesterday, PSU students attended a real tea ceremony held at a round table. The event was held as part of the revival of the “Great Tea Route” and the art marathon “Russia-Mongolia-China”.
The event was held at the site of the Center for Chinese Culture and Language of PSU, the organizers of the event were IIYAMT and IPRM. The participants learned that due to the nomadic lifestyle of the Mongols, tea has come a long way from the steppes to European countries. Russia, in turn, became an important connecting point in this story.
One of the main and material concepts of the revival is the creation of a conceptual museum-yurt, which in the process of road travel along the route map will be filled with valuable items.
The tea ceremony was accompanied by traditional Yakut chants of folklorist Varvara Oboyukova.
