Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to revise regulations on restoration of cultural heritage objects by the end of 2025 in order to reduce the time for investors. According to the president, many objects are dying because business cannot invest money due to restrictions. "Some people think that business should not be allowed. What, then, is it necessary for the objects to be destroyed?" - he emphasized.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that by May 15 a roadmap for revising restoration standards should be ready, and by the end of 2026 the work itself should be completed. According to her, 13975 monuments are now in unsatisfactory condition. In response, the president gave a task to speed up the process of reducing bureaucracy. "Let's work out exactly by the end of the year on the norms. What is impossible now, let's do it in 2026".
