The oldest hotel in the Krasnoyarsk region - Mikhailovskaya Hotel - reopened its doors in the historical center of Minusinsk after a large-scale restoration. It is located in a monument building built in 1890 on the funds of local merchant Minayev.
The restorers restored the historic facade, restored the brickwork and unique paneling, as well as strengthened the load-bearing structures and completely redesigned the interior. Before the revolution the hotel was called “Metropol”, but now it was impossible to use this name, as the right holder of the brand did not give his consent. The solution was found in the archives - it turned out that Lenin Street, on which the building stands, used to be called in honor of the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty. This is how the new name of the hotel was born.
