Nazran district

The Nazran District was established in 1924 as part of the Ingush Autonomous Region. Being part of the North Ossetian ASSR in 1944-1957, it had another name - Kosta-Khetagur. And after the collapse of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR in 1991-1992, it became part of Ingushetia. It received municipal status only in 2009. It is now divided into two parts due to the configuration of the territory. The district is located in the central and western parts of the republic and borders from the north with the Malgobek district, from the east - with the Sunzha, from the south and west - with the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania. About 100,000 people live on the territory of the district, including internally displaced persons from the RNO-Alania numbering 1,336 people, as well as internally displaced persons from the Chechen Republic - only 368 people. On the territory of the district flow rivers Sunzha, Surkhohi and Nazranka. Also an important water body of the area is the Alkhanchurt Canal. In Nazran district there are 30 educational institutions, including secondary, general and primary schools, as well as 1 hospital-stationary for 35 beds and 10 outpatient clinics. The region has developed agriculture: there are 8 state unitary enterprises, two agricultural cooperatives and 268 farms. There are 8,190 hectares of arable land on the balance sheet.

A new district hospital has opened in the rural settlement of Ali-Yurt in the Nazran District.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov. Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Khadzhibekir Mutaliev, Deputy Minister of Health Amina Nastayeva, and the Head of the Nazran District, Mukharbek Aushev.

The medical facility will serve residents of Ali-Yurt, Ekazhevo, and Surkhakhi. The two-story building, with an area of approximately 2,000 square meters, includes a 30-bed inpatient department and an outpatient department designed to handle approximately 100 visits per shift.

It includes physiotherapy rooms, ultrasound and fluorography diagnostics rooms, a clinical diagnostic laboratory, and a pharmacy.

Since 2016, the Ali-Yurt outpatient clinic had been located in a converted building, the capacity of which was inadequate for the needs of the growing population. Now, residents of several villages will be able to receive medical care and undergo necessary examinations close to home.

The work was carried out as part of the federal project "Modernization of Primary Healthcare" of the national project "Long Active Life."

The Head of Ingushetia noted that the new district hospital is an important and long-awaited facility for the residents of Ali-Yurt, Ekazhevo, and Surkhakhi.

"I wish the medical team professional success, attentive care for each patient, and productive work. And to all residents, I wish good health and well-being. It is important that the opportunities created by today's modern medical infrastructure are fully utilized for the benefit of the people," said Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov.
