Irafsky District

Welcome to the Irafsky District of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Located in the southwestern part of the republic, most of the district is mountainous. It borders Georgia, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, and the Digorsky and Alagirsky districts. The administrative center is the village of Chikola. The population is over 15,000 people, mainly Ossetians and Russians. The Ossetians of the district speak the Digor dialect of the Ossetian language. The economy of the Irafsky District is based on agriculture—there are five collective farms and four state farms here. The district also has a consumer services complex, housing and utilities enterprises, and the Fasnalskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant. Tourism is well developed. The district is rich in historical, cultural, and natural monuments. The Alania National Park is located in the district, where there are many mountaineering, tourist, and ecological trails.

Specialists from the Social Rehabilitation Department for Disabled and Elderly Citizens at the Irafsky District Integrated Social Services Center regularly conduct sports training sessions for their residents as part of the national "Family" project. The facility's staff knows the secret to staying energetic is simple: movement and social interaction.

But this isn't just physical exercise. For social service recipients, it's a true social club, where a warm and welcoming atmosphere reigns. Here, everyone feels cared for, supported, and cared for. Participants recharge their batteries, improve their health, and make new friends.

The team's most rewarding achievement is seeing the smiles on their clients' faces and their cheerful, fighting spirit.

Anyone is welcome to join this friendly team. Classes are open to anyone who wants to stay active and happy.
