This year, the Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of St. Petersburg will begin restoration of the facades of the courtyard buildings of the Pel (Gukasova) house at 46 Liteiny Prospekt, a cultural heritage site of regional significance.
The reconstruction of the building that previously existed on the site was carried out in 1865 by a new owner - architect Alexander Khristoforovich Pel.
In 1908, the next owner of the house - oil producer Pavel Gukasov - commissioned the architect Alexander Khrenov to reconstruct and increase the volume of the building, who created new courtyard buildings.
