“Russia's strongest climbers from Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Krasnodar, Voronezh, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Penza, Samara and other cities are competing in the mountains of Ingushetia. The opening of the fifth national mountaineering championship in the technical class took place today in the most picturesque place of the Jeyrakhsky district.
The choice of Ingushetia as a venue for the championship was due to several important factors. Traditionally mountaineering events are held in summer, but the mountainous region of Ingushetia with its mountaineering camp “Kyazi” is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure, including a medical station, headquarters, press center, canteen, accommodation modules and showers.
This ensures optimal conditions for the championship regardless of the season.
Only brave and courageous people can connect their life with mountaineering. Their incredible endurance and determination sincerely arouse deep respect. Today athletes begin to conquer the top of the mountain massif Kyazi, where there are more than 20 routes of varying difficulty. It requires incredible strength of mind and physical preparation.
I wish good luck to the guys, let the ascents be safe.
We strive to develop various sports in Ingushetia, including extreme sports, so that everyone can find an activity to their liking. This, in turn, solves a number of important related problems: popularizing physical culture among young people and increasing the republic's tourist appeal. After participating in tournaments, athletes with their families often return to us to enjoy the beauty of nature and unique attractions of the region.
I would also like to note that the developed regional sports infrastructure provides all the necessary conditions for training and competitions of various levels,” - Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov, Head of the Republic of Ingushetia.
