E.F. Lopatina's mansion on Maliy Karetny Lane, 11, in Moscow is included in the Unified State Register of Cultural Heritage Sites.
The two-storey dwelling house with a basement and an attic was erected in 1889 at the expense of a peasant woman Ekaterina Lopatina according to the project of architect Ya.Makhonina. In 1912 the plot with the house was purchased by the merchant of the first guild, hereditary honorary citizen Yakov Alshvang, who arranged a part of the territory for the production area of the sewing factory. After 1917, the Profintern experimental-technical sewing factory was located here.
