The Engineering House of the Peter and Paul Fortress will host the exhibition “Masterpieces of architectural graphics from the collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg” from July 07 to August 26.
The museum notes that 2025 was marked by a whole flowering of anniversaries of architects whose names are familiar to everyone. For example, 355 is the anniversary of Dominico Trezzini, 325 - Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli and 250 - Carlo Rossi. The museum keeps drawings of the authors of the projects of the main architectural sights - more than 40 sheets of Rastrelli, about 100 drawings by Voronikhin, more than 200 works by Quarenghi.
At the exhibition you can see the designs of the Summer Palace of Peter the Great by Mikhail Zemtsov, the Hermitage Pavilion in Tsarskoye Selo and the Srednerogat Palace by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, the Main Admiralty by Andrean Zakharov, the Mining Institute by Andrei Voronikhin, the Marble Palace by Antonio Rinaldi, the Alexandrinsky Theater by Carlo Rossi, the Grand Palace in Pavlovsk by Vincenzo Brenna, and many others, including graphic projects of the Soviet period.
