During archaeological excavations at the Khamkhi tower complex, a large castle-type tower settlement in the center of the Targim Basin in the Dzheyrakh District of Ingushetia, human skeletal remains, a clay jug, a knife, and an ancient saber with a handle, a long blade, and a characteristic curve toward the butt were discovered.

The excavations were conducted in a medieval above-ground crypt. The skeletal remains were discovered under the second burial layer, in a special wooden enclosure. A knife and a clay jug with a handle were found nearby. Presumably, this was the burial of a person of considerable renown at the time (possibly a renowned warrior).

Of greatest interest to researchers are the human skeleton, over 2 meters tall, and the ancient saber, which, at first glance, appears to have preserved its shape and all its structural elements well.
