The district is rich in historical, cultural, and natural monuments. The Alania National Park is located in the district, where there are many mountaineering, tourist, and ecological trails.

As part of the national "Family" project, a unified lesson dedicated to the rich traditional culture of the Ossetian people and their family values was held in all schools in the Irafsky District.

The event involved all students, from 1st to 11th grade. The lesson's main goal was not simply to introduce, but to systematize and deepen the children's knowledge of the history, customs, language, folklore, and distinctive art of Ossetia.

Particular attention was paid to centuries-old traditions, inviolable family values, legendary Caucasian hospitality, as well as deep respect for elders and veneration of ancestors.
