The Elbrus All-Season Tourist and Recreational Complex (ATRC) is located in the Elbrus region of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and has been a popular destination on Russia's tourist map for over half a century. Tens of thousands of athletes and winter sports enthusiasts from around the world flock here. They are drawn by the high-altitude observation platforms, ski slopes, snow park, hiking eco-trails, and the opportunity to climb Elbrus, the highest mountain in Russia and Europe. Elbrus boasts the highest cable car in the country, at an altitude of 3,847 meters. Its uniqueness is confirmed by the Russian Book of Records. The resort boasts a well-developed infrastructure: 19.5 km of maintained ski slopes, 7 ski lifts (including 3 modern gondola lifts), over 65 km of nature trails, and approximately 800 accommodations of varying comfort levels. The resort offers skiing opportunities even in spring and summer. The ski season continues until July, with training camps for regional and national Russian alpine skiing and freestyle teams, and all-Russian alpine skiing competitions taking place.

Elbrus Resort rescuers confirmed their readiness for the season.

The Elbrus Resort Emergency Rescue Team (part of Kavkaz.RF) successfully passed the annual inspection by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the certification, the personnel training and the unit's material and technical resources were assessed. The following were inspected: the level of medical, technical, and psychological training of the staff; the condition of the rescue unit's equipment, gear, and facilities.

The rescuer qualification assessment consisted of two parts: theoretical tests and practical training. The practical part included physical fitness tests and practice in rescue operations on cable cars.

According to the team's leadership, preparation for the certification had been underway since the spring: regular training sessions on high-altitude work and vertical evacuation exercises, simulating a cable car stop. During the exams, the team confirmed their ability to perform tasks under strict time constraints, including evacuating people from cable car cabins within established time limits. Mandatory skills also include providing emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

According to Khasan Makitov, head of the Elbrus emergency rescue team, regular exams serve as an important tool for maintaining a high level of professional readiness. The unit's modern equipment and the unified approach of Kavkaz.RF and the rescue team's leadership ensure a prompt and qualified response to emergency situations.

It is noted that certification of the rescue teams at the Mamison and Veduchi resorts is planned for the following period.
