An interactive workshop, "Breathing as Support: Simple Techniques for Everyday Life," was held in the Achkhoy-Martan district as part of the national project "Long and Active Life."
Experts discussed the connection between breathing and the nervous system and addressed common breathing mistakes. During the practical portion, participants mastered basic techniques—diaphragmatic breathing, "square breathing," and breathing with an extended exhalation. Particular attention was paid to how to incorporate these exercises into their daily routine—for example, using pauses at traffic lights or while waiting for an elevator.
The organizers reminded participants that breathing exercises should be performed at a comfortable pace, and that those with chronic illnesses should consult a doctor first.
The event was part of efforts to foster a culture of health care: simple and accessible techniques help reduce stress, maintain concentration, and support cardiovascular health.
