Jeyrakh

Welcome to the official community of Jeyrakh district of the Republic of Ingushetia. Located in the southern mountainous part of Ingushetia, the Jeyrakh district occupies the central part of the Caucasus Mountains. This is the birthplace of the Ingush people, the place from which they settled throughout the modern republic. The area is full of architectural monuments, tower complexes and sanctuaries. The largest of them are the Erzi tower complex, the ancient Christian temple of Thaba-Yerdy, etc. Being one of the most ecologically clean places on the planet, the Jeyrakh district is known for its reserves created to preserve the unique mountain ecosystem. The Jeyrakh-Assin Museum-Reserve includes more than 1000 monuments of nature, history and culture. In the protected areas of the area lives many species of animals, plants and birds. The highest peaks of Ingushetia, such as Mount Shan (4500 m) and Mount Stolovaya Met-Lam (2993 m), are located in this area. This area is called the “second Switzerland” for its picturesque mountain landscapes. It attracts tourists and athletes. Jeyrakh district is rich not only with impressive monuments of history and nature. There are health centers aimed at the treatment of the respiratory system, cardiovascular and nervous system. The climate of the area is very favorable for improving the condition of the body and rehabilitation after diseases.

The "Kyazi" mountaineering camp in the Dzheyrak District is currently hosting training sessions. About 100 people—athletes, instructors, and mountain enthusiasts from various regions of Russia—are gathered here.

The sessions for participants from the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Northwestern Federal District have already concluded. Tomorrow, a group of 25–30 mountaineers from Tatarstan will arrive to join the camp.

From one session to the next, "Kyazi" brings together people who are passionate about the mountains and mountaineering. Here, they exchange experience, train, prepare for ascents, and find like-minded individuals.

The camp is well-known far beyond the borders of the republic. In addition to training sessions, it hosts all-Russian mountaineering competitions, including national championships and the Russian Cup. I have visited "Kyazi" on several occasions and have always greatly enjoyed interacting with the participants. They are people genuinely dedicated to their craft, eager to share their expertise and discover Ingushetia. The natural environment of the Dzheyrakhsky District allows for training on routes of varying difficulty and accommodates high-level athletes.

The development of mountaineering is significant not only for sports but also for the tourism industry. Ingushetia is the "land of towers"—a region defined by unique mountain landscapes, ancient tower complexes, and sacred sites. Many come here for the climbs and mountain trails, while exploring the history, culture, and traditions of the Ingush people allows them to experience the republic from many different perspectives.

It is heartening that the camp has become a meeting place for people of different nationalities and generations, all united by a shared love for the mountains. Such encounters strengthen the bonds between regions. The weather in the mountains is changeable: after a few favorable days, it has turned colder, and now there is a mix of rain and snow. I wish all the participants of the training camp successful sessions, safe ascents, and a wonderful experience during their stay in Ingushetia. May "Kyazi" continue to bring mountain enthusiasts together and introduce them to the beauty of our region.
