Urup district

Welcome to the Urup municipal district of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. Urup district is located in the south-western part of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic of the Russian Federation. It borders with Zelenchuk district in the east, with the Republic of Abkhazia in the south and with the Krasnodar region in the west and north. The administrative center is the village of Pregradnaya. The basis of the economy of the Urup district is industry, there are several enterprises for the extraction of copper and serpentinite. A promising direction of development is tourism. The mountainous landscape, as well as many natural, historical and archaeological sites of different periods, contribute to attracting visitors to the area. .

Работы по внедрению Национальной системы «Территория» начаты в Урупском районе на участке Псемен - Рожкао – Дамхурц - Пхия и до перевала на Архыз.

Первый этап внедрения планируется завершить весной 2025 года.
