An educational event, "Pharmacy Review," was held in the Achkhoy-Martan district.
A "Pharmacy Review" event was held in the Achkhoy-Martan district as part of the national project "Long and Active Life," aimed at increasing public awareness of the safe and rational use of medications.
Specialists highlighted the problem of polypharmacy—the simultaneous use of multiple medications—and emphasized that this practice can increase the risk of adverse reactions and drug interactions, particularly in the elderly.
Special attention was paid to the need for regular review of the treatment regimen in consultation with a healthcare professional. Participants were also informed that symptoms such as weakness, dizziness, drowsiness, and confusion can be caused by side effects of medications or a combination of medications.
The goal of the event is to foster a responsible attitude toward medication use and to avoid taking medications without a doctor's prescription.
