Veduchi Resort
Veduchi Resort

Veduchi is an all-season resort in the Chechen Republic. Located in the Itum-Kali District. The complex is being developed with the participation of leading experts in the design and construction of mountain resorts, in accordance with the highest international standards. The resort's design incorporates the unique national style of tower architecture and preserves the spirit of the cultural and historical traditions of the people of the Chechen Republic, which will delight local residents and attract visitors from all over Russia. Veduchi Resort offers more than just a ski resort: in spring, summer, and winter, guests can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, or cycling along the picturesque mountain slopes, or take a tour of one of the historical, cultural, and natural attractions for which the Chechen Republic is famous.

Sergey Nazarov: Veduchi SEZ residents have invested 6.6 billion rubles in the resort's development.

During a working visit to the Chechen Republic, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Sergey Nazarov visited the all-season Veduchi tourism and recreation complex. Together with representatives of the Government of the Chechen Republic and Kavkaz.RF, he inspected the ski and engineering infrastructure facilities on the northern and southern slopes and learned about the implementation of SEZ resident projects.

Currently, five residents operate within the tourism and recreation SEZ. Their total declared extra-budgetary investment amounts to 8.2 billion rubles. The agreements provide for the creation of approximately 1,300 accommodations and over 670 jobs.

"Veduchi has changed significantly in recent years. New slopes, accommodations, and services are appearing, and private investors are joining the scene. Residents have already invested approximately 6.6 billion rubles in the resort's development. The next stage is further expansion of the hotel rooms, services, and tourist offerings. It's important that Veduchi becomes a fully-fledged vacation spot for guests, a place they'll want to come back for a few days and then return to again, and a source of new jobs and small business opportunities for residents of the republic. This is how the resort should become a fully-fledged center for the region's economic development," noted Sergey Nazarov.

Over 20 billion rubles of federal funds have already been invested in Veduchi's development. Over the past two years, the VL2, VL4, and VL5 passenger cable cars, as well as new ski slopes, have been commissioned at the resort. One of the key facilities is the 4.3-kilometer VL1 passenger cable car, with a capacity of up to 2,400 people per hour. At the same time, an artificial snowmaking system is being developed for the ski slopes.

"The basic infrastructure of the new Veduchi ski area is already largely in place—18 of the 20 facilities have been commissioned. I can say this is a highly complex project, and we're literally pushing ourselves to the limit. The full launch of the north-facing slope now depends on two key components: the giant VL-1 cable car and the artificial snowmaking system. We plan to launch snowmaking by the end of the year—95% complete—and the cable car in 2027. Work at the upper and lower stations is nearing completion, with the main carryover for next year being cable installation and commissioning. These projects remain the most weather-sensitive, requiring constant monitoring and adjustments," said Andrey Yumshanov, CEO of Kavkaz.RF.

At the same time, the resort is expanding its hotel and service infrastructure. Five chalets with 85 beds and a third building of the 400-bed hotel complex have already been built. A health complex and a recreation center with modular accommodations are also being built. In 2026, the resort will also upgrade its rental center, including the purchase of inclusive equipment.
