Tourist traffic along the National Caucasus Trail could exceed 4 million by 2030.
By 2030, the interregional tourist route "National Caucasus Trail" could attract more than 4 million tourists. This was announced by Nikolai Goncharov, Deputy General Director of Kavkaz.RF, at the Caucasus Investment Forum (CIF-2026).
The project launched in 2023. The trail will connect the coasts of the Black and Caspian Seas, passing through all regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Krasnodar Krai. The total length of the route will exceed 2,000 km.
By the end of April 2026, Kavkaz.RF had already developed over 240 km of the trail. All necessary infrastructure for comfortable recreation, including navigation signs, benches, and gazebos, has been installed along these sections. The route is divided into sections of varying difficulty, suitable for both experienced hikers and those with minimal training. Plans call for the construction of approximately 60 km of new trail sections annually.
