Restoration of Moscow's only memorial museum dedicated to the reformist tsar has been completed in Kolomenskoye.
In 1702, it was built by Russian carpenters and Dutch shipwrights at the mouth of the Northern Dvina River. In 1877 it was moved to Arkhangelsk, and in 1934 - to Kolomenskoye. Now there is a new permanent exposition “Peter the Great: the Birth of the Sea Power”.
