Good news for residents of the republic and tourists. This year, three new routes will be launched in the Jeyrakhsky and Sunzhensky districts: to the medieval castle complex of Egi-chozh in the village of Dattykh in the Sunzhensky district, to the canyon in the Assin gorge in the foothill village of Alkun, where a German airplane crashed during the war. In the foothill zone of Sunzhensky district the guests will be able to see fragments of the hull of an enemy fighter plane.
A new route will also be laid to the castle-type settlement of Verkhny and Nizhny Kyakhk in the mountainous Jeyrakhsky district of Ingushetia, which is a favorite destination for foreign and Russian tourists.
Egi-Chozh is a tower fortress on both banks of the Fortanga River. It consists of powerful fortifications: a barrier wall covering the gorge, castle complexes, residential and combat towers, crypts and a sanctuary. The monument can be visited from the border village of Dattykh along the ancient arb road. The Egi-Chozh complex is included in the register of protected cultural monuments of federal significance as “Dattykh fortress wall with towers”.
In addition, in the tourism sector of the republic this year, a comprehensive work is planned to monitor and update statistical information on tourist flow, room stock, tour operators, the number of students in the field of “Tourism and Hospitality”. It is planned to elaborate and approve the concept of development of human resources potential of tourism and hospitality industry, tourism development strategy, creation of sections devoted to auto-tourism and industrial tourism in the region.
