Together with the staff of the Argun Museum-Reserve, we conducted a working visit to the Itum-Kali district of the Chechen Republic.
The purpose of the visit was to visit a number of sites in the Argun Gorge and to collect and clarify information on individual cultural heritage sites.
In the territory of the Baskhoy tower complex, in addition to medieval residential towers and later dwellings, an early Muslim burial site was investigated.
In Bechigi village, information was collected on the post-restoration dwelling tower, and the boundaries of the early Muslim burial ground and the new mosque were determined.
In Tazbichi, the boundaries of the Döre combat tower were measured and additional materials were collected.
In Hildekharoy, information on the mosque was clarified.
The boundaries of the Kirda, Piyzha and Tongakhoy tower complexes were also determined.
