Irafsky District

Welcome to the Irafsky District of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Located in the southwestern part of the republic, most of the district is mountainous. It borders Georgia, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, and the Digorsky and Alagirsky districts. The administrative center is the village of Chikola. The population is over 15,000 people, mainly Ossetians and Russians. The Ossetians of the district speak the Digor dialect of the Ossetian language. The economy of the Irafsky District is based on agriculture—there are five collective farms and four state farms here. The district also has a consumer services complex, housing and utilities enterprises, and the Fasnalskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant. Tourism is well developed. The district is rich in historical, cultural, and natural monuments. The Alania National Park is located in the district, where there are many mountaineering, tourist, and ecological trails.

Serving the Beautiful: Cultural Workers Honored in the Irafsky District.

A gala event dedicated to Cultural Workers' Day was held at the Irafsky District Municipal Administration. Words of gratitude were expressed and prestigious awards were presented to those who bring joy to people, preserve traditions, and fill life with vibrant colors.

Robert Khamikoev, Head of the Irafsky Municipal District, presented the assembled guests with Certificates of Honor from Sergey Ivanovich Menyailo, Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and on his own behalf.

"Your work is the soul of our district. Thank you for your inspiration, patience, and dedication to your profession," Robert Khamikoev remarked, congratulating the honorees.
