During archaeological work at the Thaba Erdy Temple, a cultural heritage site of federal significance, a note from 1968 was found between rows of stonework on the lower part of the northern wall on the interior side. The note contained the names and professions of a group of tourists who had visited the temple.
The uniqueness of this find is that it confirms that these parts of the temple walls remained untouched during the restoration work carried out in 1969-1971 . It can now be stated with certainty that the lower part of the northern wall was not altered during the 20th century.
