A working meeting between representatives of the Ingushetia Archaeological Center and scholars from the Institute for the Study of the Hungarian People (Budapest) was held in Nazran.

The key topic of discussion was the influence of the Scythian era on the material culture monuments and ancient artifacts of the North Caucasus. Deputy Director of the Archaeological Center, Umalat Gadiev, noted the presence of Scythian-type features in a number of burial grounds in the foothills and plateaus (Lugovoy, Nesterovsky, Karabulaksky, Barsukinsky, and others), as well as in the collections of the Ingush State Museum of Local History.

Hungarian archaeologist Veronica Horváth expressed interest in the data obtained and proposed joint research, including in natural sciences.

The parties agreed to systematize contacts, conduct regular monitoring, and exchange the latest source materials. The visit was a continuation of a partnership that began in 2016: at the initiative of Umalat Gadiev, the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Debrecen) conducted radiocarbon dating, which made it possible to establish the precise dating of a number of military towers in the mountainous part of Ingushetia.
