Yesterday, representatives of the SAFMAR Foundation, the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites and the Dzhirakh-Assin State Museum-Reserve were transferred to the Ingush State Museum of Local History named after T. Malsagov in Nazran a treasure of 16 coins belonging to the middle of the XIV century, found by specialists of the ASM Group during survey work in one of the towers of the Tumgi complex in mountainous Ingushetia.
The unique treasure consists of 5 copper and 11 silver coins of the Golden Horde, relating to the reign of Uzbek Khan, Haji Khan and Toktamysh Khan.
It was possible to establish that some of the coins were minted in the city of Gulistan - in translation "Country of Roses", the remains of which archaeologists continue to search in the Astrakhan and Volgograd regions, as well as in Uzbekistan.
