Mamison has summarized the first results of the warm season.
Hiking season on the eco-trails at the mountain resort in North Ossetia continues despite the transition to winter preparation mode. Annual maintenance work began on Mamison's cable cars on September 28 to prepare the equipment for the ski season.
"Our cable cars at Mamison performed well this summer—from June 1 to September 27, the resort welcomed nearly 25,000 guests, exceeding the tourist flow for the same period last year by 17%. Now it's time for the maintenance department to inspect and replace worn parts, and check everything that affects guest safety," said Khasan Timizhev, Executive Director of Kavkaz.RF. The most crowded events of the summer in Mamison were the Lisri art festival, which attracted nearly 4,000 guests to a light show featuring Ossetian musicians Ragon Bal, an exhibition of monumental sculpture by Vladimir Soskiev, and the opening of an art space with an exhibition compiled in the wake of Mamison's first art residency. The creative workshops of the "Slow Life Workshop" project also continued this summer.
September was especially busy at the resort: a family sports festival with runs on the mountain slopes kicked off, the first comedy festival featuring popular stand-up comedians from the North Caucasus and southern Russia, an educational intensive course "Potential of the Regions. The Economy of Attraction" in collaboration with Rosmolodezh.Entrepreneur, and a conceptual photography workshop with Rada Sadygova.
"In the last week alone, the resort in North Ossetia hosted a business intensive for 200 people, a book retreat for the "By Syllables" project, a tour with botanist Roald Kaupush, mediations at Vladimir Soskiev's sculpture exhibition and contemporary art gallery, and a musical improvisation by Nati Tedeeva. And so it goes, every day—something new, exciting, and mind-expanding. Since its opening, Mamison has hosted more than "100,000 people," said Rustam Tapaev, Deputy General Director of Kavkaz.RF.
During scheduled maintenance, which will last at least two weeks, the resort will continue to welcome guests for walks along the eco-trails located near the villages of Lisri, Kalak, and Zgil, at altitudes of 2,000 meters above sea level. The Astrobase hotels and cafes will also remain open, and master classes will be held on weekends as part of the "Slow Life Workshop" project.
