The State Service for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Yaroslavl Region approved a new tinting of the facades of the famous house with atlantes on October Avenue in Yaroslavl.
In the process of research work it turned out that the sculptures of atlantes were not white, but bronze with patination. Also the front facade will be repainted from blue to beige color.
The Dunayev House was built in the late XIX century by merchant Ivan Nikolevich Dunayev on the territory of his own tobacco factory. In Soviet times, the building housed the Center for Development of Creativity of Children and Youth.
