Vladikavkaz urban district

Welcome to the urban district of Vladikavkaz. Vladikavkaz is the capital of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. It is located in the central part of the North Caucasus. It was founded in 1784. In addition to the historically established lands of the city, the Vladikavkaz urban district also includes adjacent public lands, areas of traditional natural resource use by the urban district's population, urban forests, recreational lands, lands for urban development, and some settlements. The population of the district exceeds 300,000 people. They are mainly Ossetians and Russians. There are also representatives of other peoples. The climate in the district is temperate, mitigated by the proximity of the mountains. The largest river in the Caucasus, the Terek, flows through here.

One of Vladikavkaz's oldest residents, Sonya Kozaeva, celebrates her 100th birthday today.

On behalf of the city's mayor, Vyacheslav Mildzikhov, the birthday girl was congratulated by Madina Khodova, deputy head of the Vladikavkaz City Administration, and Igor Shatalov, head of the administration of the North-Western and Zaterechny districts. They presented Sonya Sochinoevna with a congratulatory address, a basket of fruit, and a bouquet of flowers.

According to Sonya Kazayeva, the secret to longevity is simple. “You have to love life, family, and work,” says the birthday girl.
