December 9, Chairman of the Committee for State Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Ingushetia Kodzoev Timirlan took part in the Parliamentary Hearings on the topic: “Preservation of cultural heritage objects (monuments of history and culture) of the peoples of the Russian Federation: program approach and legislative support” in Moscow.
The event was chaired by Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova presented a report on the work done (restoration of 340 objects, conservation of more than 200 objects, etc., for a total amount of 62 billion rubles) and plans to improve the situation, including the inventory of the register of monuments (completion by 2025).
Problems have been identified: almost 27 thousand monuments are in unsatisfactory condition. Measures have been taken to reduce administrative barriers, reduce the time and cost of work on monuments, and attract volunteers.
