Welcome to the Urus-Martan district! The Urus-Martan District is located in the foothills of the central part of Chechnya. Its administrative center is the town of Urus-Martan. The district borders on the Grozny district, the lands of the Grozny urban district, as well as the Shaly, Shatoy, Itum-Kali and Achkhoy-Martan districts. The district is rich in rivers and mixed forests, home to rare species of animals. It is also famous for cultural and historical heritage sites, such as combat and dwelling towers of various eras. The leading sector of the district's economy is agriculture. Crop, fruit, vegetable and livestock farming are developed here. There are also industrial and construction enterprises. Deposits of construction materials, including sandstone, gravel and clay raw materials, are located on the territory of the district.

The Urus-Martan district of the Chechen Republic hosted the Open Cup of the Head of the Chechen Republic among young men and juniors in mixed martial arts (MMA). The event was organized by Sports School No. 1 of the Urus-Martan district with the support of the Chechen Republic's Ministry of Physical Culture and Sport. More than 150 athletes took part in the competition.

The tournament is aimed at popularizing MMA among young people in the region. The tournament was organized within the framework of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life”, aimed at increasing physical activity among citizens and developing mass sports in Russia. In addition, the project is part of the national initiative “Demography”, which is aimed at improving the quality of life and health of the population, as well as attracting more people to regular physical training and sports.
