In Krasnodar, on Sedova Street, restoration work continues at the cultural heritage site of the Diocesan College, where the Medical Academy is located today. After the restoration of the facades was completed last year, work continues in the interiors of the college - the historic staircase, the plaster layer of the walls and ceilings of the stairwells, cast iron railings, floor coverings and door fills are being recreated.
The historical building was built in 1901 according to the project of architect Vasily Filippov as Ekaterinodar Diocesan School. During the Civil War it housed a hospital. During the Great Patriotic War during the occupation of Krasnodar, the building was partially destroyed, but was restored in 1947-1952 .
