Urus-Martan District

Welcome to the Urus-Martan district! The Urus-Martan District is located in the foothills of the central part of Chechnya. Its administrative center is the town of Urus-Martan. The district borders on the Grozny district, the lands of the Grozny urban district, as well as the Shaly, Shatoy, Itum-Kali and Achkhoy-Martan districts. The district is rich in rivers and mixed forests, home to rare species of animals. It is also famous for cultural and historical heritage sites, such as combat and dwelling towers of various eras. The leading sector of the district's economy is agriculture. Crop, fruit, vegetable and livestock farming are developed here. There are also industrial and construction enterprises. Deposits of construction materials, including sandstone, gravel and clay raw materials, are located on the territory of the district.

The annual August pedagogical conference was held in the Urus-Martan District.

The keynote address was given by Said Uvaisovich Aidamirov, Head of the Education Department, who summarized the 2025-2026 academic year and outlined the objectives for the upcoming period.

As part of the event, education staff were awarded the "Excellent Education Worker" badge. Muslim Altmemirov, Maryam Raisova, Petimat Khasanova, and Medinat Elmurzaeva were awarded the medal "For Contribution to the Development of Education in the Urus-Martan District." Geography teacher Kamila Bazaeva, a winner of the 2026 national "Teacher of the Year" competition, was awarded the medal "For Contribution to the Development of Education in the Urus-Martan District." She also received a cash bonus of 500,000 rubles from the A.Kh. Kadyrov Regional Public Foundation. Other outstanding employees received certificates from the Education Department.
