Last weekend, students of IIYMT PSU took part in the historical “Scyth-fest” of the South of Russia.
The festival “Heritage of steppes and mountains” gathered antiquities lovers on the Tatar settlement.
The Tatar settlement is the largest archaeological monument not only of the region, but also of the entire Precaucasia, miraculously preserved in the vicinity of Stavropol. Here underground preserved the fortresses and crypts of the ancient city, whose name has yet to be determined. It was here that one of the northern highways of the Great Silk Road passed.
This is a really significant place, because the Tatar settlement is the historical predecessor of the city of Stavropol!
It is important to remember that each generation is the custodian of memory. Preserving the Scythian heritage, we preserve our roots and our history!
