Welcome to the Irafsky District of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Located in the southwestern part of the republic, most of the district is mountainous. It borders Georgia, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, and the Digorsky and Alagirsky districts. The administrative center is the village of Chikola. The population is over 15,000 people, mainly Ossetians and Russians. The Ossetians of the district speak the Digor dialect of the Ossetian language. The economy of the Irafsky District is based on agriculture—there are five collective farms and four state farms here. The district also has a consumer services complex, housing and utilities enterprises, and the Fasnalskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant. Tourism is well developed. The district is rich in historical, cultural, and natural monuments. The Alania National Park is located in the district, where there are many mountaineering, tourist, and ecological trails.

In the last days of December, it is customary to sum up the results of the outgoing year and traditionally honor the best specialists in various fields of professional activity.

Robert Khamikoev, head of the Irafsky municipal district, and Kazbek Gutsunaev, chairman of the Irafsky municipal district assembly of representatives, presented awards to the best specialists in various fields of professional activity in the district administration's meeting hall. The ceremony was a recognition of the merits of those whose conscientious work makes an invaluable contribution to the development of the district.

Congratulating the best of the best, the leadership noted that such specialists are an example for the entire team and set high professional standards.
