On April 17, Konstantin Poletaev's exhibition "Steampunk Architecture. Moscow-Noginsk", dedicated to the comprehension of history and architecture of the Moscow region city of Noginsk-Bogorodsk, which has an extensive architectural history.
The golden period for the city was the turn of XIX-XX centuries, - the Art Nouveau era, when such architects as A.V.Kuznetsov, I.E.Bondarenko, A.F.Loleit, A.M.Markov and I.M.Vasiliev worked here.
After the October Revolution the image of the city changed unpredictably and rapidly - old buildings disappeared and new ones appeared. Konstantin Poletaev's project is the history of the city told through fantastic architectural objects and presented in unusual images-compilations. Taking the steampunk style as a basis, the artist fantasizes, prolonging the “golden age” of the city, discusses how wooden architecture, Art Nouveau architecture and monuments of classicism could be combined with constructivism and the world of modern technology.
