Restoration work is nearing completion at the Furtoug Tower Complex in mountainous Ingushetia, the first complex to greet travelers from the Georgian Military Highway. The combat and semi-combat towers, residential towers, and two crypts have been restored thanks to the full support of the SAFMAR Charitable Foundation, following a previously approved project by ACM Group.
Incidentally, it was in one of the Furtoug residential towers that the Russian scientist and encyclopedist D.I. Mendeleev stayed in July 1880.
