Urus-Martan District

Welcome to the Urus-Martan district! The Urus-Martan District is located in the foothills of the central part of Chechnya. Its administrative center is the town of Urus-Martan. The district borders on the Grozny district, the lands of the Grozny urban district, as well as the Shaly, Shatoy, Itum-Kali and Achkhoy-Martan districts. The district is rich in rivers and mixed forests, home to rare species of animals. It is also famous for cultural and historical heritage sites, such as combat and dwelling towers of various eras. The leading sector of the district's economy is agriculture. Crop, fruit, vegetable and livestock farming are developed here. There are also industrial and construction enterprises. Deposits of construction materials, including sandstone, gravel and clay raw materials, are located on the territory of the district.

The Urus-Martan district is actively legalizing informal workers.

Reducing the level of informal employment is one of the priority tasks in the Chechen Republic, as “shadow” employment poses risks to the economy and social sphere.

Interdepartmental working groups are systematically identifying and legalizing employers who operate without official registration.

In addition, a hotline has been set up to collect information on cases of unregistered employment.

In the first seven months of 2025, more than 550 people were identified and legalized in the Urus-Martan municipal district.
