Welcome to the Achkhoy-Martan Municipal District of the Chechen Republic. The Achkhoy-Martan district is located in the western part of Chechnya in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus Range. Its administrative center is the town of Achkhoy-Martan. It borders on the Sernovodsk, Grozny, Urus-Martan and Itum-Kali districts of Chechnya, as well as the Sunzha and Jeyrakh districts of the Republic of Ingushetia. The climate is continental and low-humid. The leading branch of the economy of the Achkhoy-Martan District is agriculture, namely the cultivation of grain and leguminous crops. In addition to cereal crops cultivation, cattle breeding and vegetable growing are developed in the district. Industry and trade also account for a considerable share of the economy. The Achkhoy-Martan district is attractive for its high-mountain lakes and cultural heritage sites: ancient settlements, combat towers, medieval necropolises and burial mounds.

The Achkhoy-Martan district of the Chechen Republic and the "Territory" Center for Integrated Development of Autonomous Territories signed a cooperation agreement.

At a meeting with the head of the Achkhoy-Martan municipal district Khoza Abdulhamidovich Bursagov, priorities, interests and tasks were defined, including the introduction of the National System “Territory” on the territory of the district.

The agreement defines the following areas of cooperation:

- creation of favorable conditions, development and implementation of programs and projects for sustainable integrated development of the Achkhoy-Martan Municipal District of the Chechen Republic;

- development and implementation, popularization and promotion of new innovative ideas, programs, projects, solutions, tools, research and technologies;

- implementation of programs and activities aimed at improving the level of safety and comfort of staying in the territory of the district.

- development of the tourist and recreational complex in the Chechen Republic;

- development and implementation of significant programs and projects aimed at promoting the formation of a balanced strategy of socio-economic and spatial development of territories;

- increasing public interest in sports and tourism in the North Caucasus;

- development and implementation of educational programs in the field of life safety, ecology, and protection of cultural heritage sites;

- other areas within the framework of the agreement, not prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation and the legislation of the Chechen Republic.

It is planned to hold joint events and participation of specialists from the “Territory” Center for Complex Development of Autonomous Territories in the preparation of official events of the district.
