A large-scale reconstruction of the water supply system is underway in the Irafsky District, carried out as part of the "Infrastructure for Life" national project. The primary objective is to replace worn-out utility networks that have long caused inconvenience for local residents.
Work is being conducted simultaneously across several sites. A key component of the project is the upgrade of the water conduit stretching from the Sakhola natural spring catchment area to a distribution reservoir located at the 40th kilometer of the Chikola–Akhsarisar highway.
Once the reconstruction is complete, more than 15,000 people will benefit from a stable, uninterrupted water supply, free from seasonal restrictions. The use of modern materials and technologies will ensure high-quality drinking water and a robust system designed for a 100-year service life.
The project is commissioned by the Capital Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania, with OOO "Spetsteplomontazh" serving as the contractor.
Construction is currently proceeding according to schedule, with all phases slated for completion by the end of 2027. This project represents a significant step toward improving the quality of life in rural areas and enhancing sanitary and epidemiological conditions across the district’s settlements.
