Targim is a large castle-type tower complex located in the south of Ingushetia, on the right bank of the Assa River in the Targim basin. Here are traced relatively well-preserved four battle, two semi-combat, and twenty-four residential towers with a variety of annexes and defensive walls of the late Middle Ages.

Elegant battle towers of the village of Targim are located in separate, but closely interconnected, castle "nests". On the facade of the south-western wall, under the balcony of one of the towers, a large cross is skillfully laid out by the method of sampling stones.

Each military building on the ground floor has large stone cone-shaped "bags" - compartments for storing various supplies and keeping prisoners. The ceilings of the second and fifth floors are built in the form of a four-sided closed stone false vault with protruding churts.

The village is named after its founder - the son of Elbert, brother of Aegee and Hamha.
