The VIII All-Russian Festival “Architectural Heritage. 2025”, taking place these days in Ryazan.
This year the festival “Architectural Heritage” takes place in Ryazan. A city worthy of restoration!
The XVIII All-Russian Festival “Architectural Heritage. 2025” in Ryazan. The Grand Prix was awarded to the St. Petersburg CGIOP, with which we sincerely congratulate our honored fellow countrymen!!!!
Unfortunately, many things at the festival seemed strange and unfinished - from the lack of badges at the registration desks (they turned out to be printed by the participants themselves), to half-empty halls. Ryazan this year, alas, failed to interest neither cognitive excursions, nor interest from the authorities and residents. It is intriguing that there was no announcement about which city will take the baton of the festival next year. Probably, there were no willing cities...
The monumental house at 44 Ligovsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg, built in 1910-1912 by order of civil engineer Alexander Nikolayevich Pertsov and designed by architects S.P. Galenzovsky and I.A. Pretro, is an object of cultural heritage of regional significance.
One of the most interesting stories related to the tenants of this house relates to the poet Maria Vega, aka Maria Nikolayevna Volyntseva, who wrote the lyrics to the iconic romance “Institutka” or “Black Moth” - one of the main songs of the Russian emigration of the XX century.
Maria herself was the daughter of a military officer, not a chamberlain. Their mother abandoned them, so Nikolai Volintsev raised his daughter by himself, and then gave her to the Pavlovsky Women's Institute on Znamenskaya Street. During the revolution, the father and daughter left St. Petersburg for France, and further her fate was also not as in the romance. Maria married a Georgian prince Nijaradze and earned money by drawing. At first she made copies of paintings for sale, and then received a diploma from the Paris Salon, which gave her the right to sell her own work. In addition, the princess worked as a journalist in the émigré press, published poems and translations, being one of the first to translate Rilke's poetry into Russian.
In 1924, Maria participated in the Summer Olympics in Paris, having entered from Russia, although there was no national team at the games. And she competed in the Art Competition - competitions for writers, sculptors, architects and painters, which took place from 1912 to 1948. Maria Nikolaevna did not receive any medals, but the very fact of her participation speaks of her successful integration into French society.
The restoration project for the facades of the Pertsov House on Ligovsky Prospekt was carried out by ACM Group.
Today is the birthday of the first Emperor of All-Russia Peter Alexeyevich Romanov.
“ACM Group” is directly related to many buildings where the emperor lived and visited:
Peter's Winter Palace on Palace Embankment, Menshikov Palace on University Embankment, Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelna, Menshikov Palace in Oranienbaum, Old Gostiny Dvor on Tifliskaya Street, and many other historical buildings in St. Petersburg where restoration projects have been developed by our company.
The restoration of the cultural heritage site of regional significance “Noble Assembly” will start in Perm in June. The contractor is to restore the facades and interiors, as well as re-laying of external and internal engineering systems.
The history of the Noble Assembly of Perm dates back to 1830, when V.V. Parnachev, a counselor of the Treasury Chamber, started collecting funds for the construction of the city's first club on behalf of the city society. The building was constructed in 1832-1837 according to the project of architect I.I.Sviyazev. The club, located in the building, was intended for the highest Perm society, so the Noble Assembly was even called the Noble Assembly. The members of the club had to pay annual dues and follow the statutes. Charity evenings allowed raising funds to support the city's orphanages and hospitals. The money collected at the literary evenings of the club was used to open the Mariinsky Women's Gymnasium and four Sunday schools.
After the revolution the building was handed over to the garrison club, later to the militia. In 1930 the first sound movie was shown here. Today, the historic building houses the Cultural Club of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Since the beginning of the year, the Main Department of Cultural Heritage of the Moscow Region has issued 14,000 conclusions on the presence of cultural heritage objects on land plots intended for economic development. This figure is 10% higher than the data for the same period last year.
Specialists remind that before starting any construction or excavation works it is necessary to make sure that there are no objects of cultural heritage on the site. In some cases, it may be necessary to conduct historical and cultural expertise, including archaeological surveys. Violators who damage or destroy objects of cultural heritage will face administrative or criminal liability.
June 10 is World Art Nouveau Day.
Art Nouveau is a complex, multifaceted artistic phenomenon that has left the brightest trace in architecture, design and art. Originating at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, this large-scale trend in different countries received its own features and names. Architects around the world tried to develop a new artistic language that would meet the trends of the time. Art Nouveau in general is characterized by smooth curved lines, the rejection of sharp angles, an abundance of floral and plant motifs, laconic forms and the use of modern technology at that time. Another feature of Art Nouveau was a return to tradition, when the architect drew everything “to the last nail” - from the general sketch of the structure to the drawings of door handles, window coverings, lamps and fireplaces.
On June 10, 1712 in St. Petersburg began construction of a new stone Peter and Paul Cathedral designed by architect Domenico Trezzini. It replaced the wooden church laid in 1703. The new cathedral became the architectural dominant of the city and since 1725 the burial vault of Russian emperors. Until 2012, the 122.5-meter-high cathedral was the tallest building in St. Petersburg, and until 1952 it was the tallest in Russia.

Tomorrow Olaf's Tower in Vyborg will open its doors to visitors after five years of restoration.
On the eve of the Day of Russia, the acceptance of works on the preservation of the cultural heritage of federal significance “Complex of fortress buildings and structures on the island”, and more precisely its high-rise dominant - “Olaf's Tower” - took place.
In recent years, the tower has been undergoing works on its interior decoration and the construction of a view elevator. The result is pleasing - the whitewashes of the Soviet period have disappeared and instead of them there is historical brickwork, the narrow spiral staircase along the wall has become wider and more gentle, loopholes and vaults have been opened, illumination on the walls and along the stairs has been arranged. The most important moment is the view elevator, the ascent of which from the first to the sixth tier takes 40 seconds. However, it should be noted that the elevator will be available only for visitors with limited mobility and by appointment.

The first Glavtabak pavilion appeared on the territory of VDNH back in 1939, but was later dismantled. The building in its current form was built in 1954 according to the project of architect K.M. Smirnov and artist V.S. Kondratyev. The pavilion was originally dedicated to the tobacco industry of the USSR, but in different years it housed the exposition “Domestic services for the population”, the representation of the governor of the Saratov region and a cafe with a veranda, and since 2017 the building was closed for restoration.
Now the restoration work on Pavilion 35 of VDNKh is nearing completion. One of the main milestones was the return to the roof of the building of its historical decoration - a gilded spire with the corporate emblem. The height of the spire is about 9 meters and its diameter exceeds 3 meters. The structure is made of 160 elements and covered with gold leaf. In addition to the spire, more than 10,000 ceramic tiles on the facades were returned to the pavilion, the unique Khokhloma painting on the ceiling and frieze was restored, the terrazzo mosaic floor was recreated, and the metal chandelier with a diameter of more than 3 meters was made anew.
After the work is completed, a tea culture club will open in the Glavtabak pavilion.
The Federal Law N142-FZ of June 07, 2025 was adopted and published, simplifying works on cultural heritage objects.
The new law simplifies the procedure for carrying out works related to the maintenance of cultural heritage objects:

- local repair of wall, floor, ceiling and staircase coverings, repair of window and door coverings,
- repair of the road and pathway network on the territories of cultural heritage sites,
- repair of coverings of the territories of cultural heritage objects, etc.
These works will not be subject to the requirements to the order of works established by Article 45 of the Law “On objects of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation”. Before carrying out these works, it is only necessary to send to the cultural heritage protection authority a notification about the planned carrying out of such works, as well as to specify the types, volumes and terms of works, machinery, mechanisms and technologies used in the performance of such works.
The law will come into force on March 1, 2026.
Colorized photo of 1913, published in issue 31 of August 17 of the magazine "Ogonyok" under the title "Cripples, the sick and the poor at the porch of the church on the Glass".
The Church on the Glass, aka "The Church of the Mother of God of All Who Sorrow with Groshikami" on Obukhovskaya Oborona Avenue in St. Petersburg was blown up in the 1930s and reconstructed a couple of years ago under the project of "ACM Group".
At the corner of Kalashny and Nizhny Kislovsky pereuloks in Moscow, a monument of constructivism, the Mosselprom House, which is an object of cultural heritage of regional significance, will be restored.
In the process of works the balconies of the eight-storey building will be restored, the gutters, window moldings and decorative cornices will be changed, and the walls and plinth will be repainted after treatment with antiseptics. In the vestibule and on the staircase landing of the entrance group, the granite tile flooring and basalt wall finish will be repaired, and the ceiling moldings will be restored.
The construction of the Mosselprom House began in 1912 according to the project of architect N. Strukov. Initially it was one of the typical for the beginning of the century profitable houses, built for the family of merchant Alexander Titov. In 1923-1925 the five-storey building was added two more floors according to the project of engineer V.Tsvetaev and architects. V. Tsvetaev and Arch. D. Kogan for warehouses and offices of Mosselprom - food trust of the Moscow Council of National Economy. The enterprise united flour, confectionery and chocolate factories, breweries and tobacco factories. The hexagonal tower with teeth crowning the building gave the building a constructivist look. The panel, thanks to which the building became famous, was designed by artists A. Rodchenko and V. Stepanova, and the authorship of the advertising slogan “Nowhere else but in Mosselprom” belongs to V. Mayakovsky.

The developer Brusnika completed the restoration of the cultural heritage site “Fominykh House” on Rosa Luxemburg Street in Yekaterinburg. During the restoration process, the brickwork was stripped of oil paint, revealing traces of numerous rebuildings of the house since the time of its first owner, burgher Averyan Fominykh. On the facades one can distinguish masonry from different time periods, with restored sections of authentic brick. In addition, work has been carried out to restore the historic 19th century windows, the roof and staircases, and the utilities have been completely renewed.
Originally owned by the burgher Fominykh, the house was converted into communal apartments in the 1920s after the building was nationalized.
In Krasnoyarsk, the cultural heritage object “I.G. Gadalov's House of Income” located at the corner of Mira and Paris Commune Streets will be restored. The historic house will be made a part of the museum quarter together with the Surikov Art Museum. Surikov Art Museum, located in a neighboring building.
The two-story house of the Gadalov dynasty was built in the late 19th century. In different years it housed grocery stores, Yenisei provincial administration, River Shipping Administration, military commissariat, hospital with a morgue in the basement and other institutions.
In early 1897, Vladimir Lenin, who was waiting in Krasnoyarsk to be sent into exile, often visited here. In 2021 any mention of the stay of the leader of the revolution here was removed from the official name of the object - and they did the right thing!
On June 13, 1955, Soviet geologists reported the discovery of the largest diamond deposit in Yakutia - the Mir kimberlite pipe.
An encrypted telegram went to Moscow: "Smoked a pipe of peace, the tobacco is excellent. Avdeenko, Elagina, Khabardin".
This is how the geologists of the Amatinsk expedition - Vladimir Avdeenko, Ekaterina Yelagina and Yuri Khabardin - reported the discovery that changed the geological map of the country and started a new industry. Yakutian diamonds are not only geology, but also a story of scientific intuition and hard labor in harsh conditions. Here, under the layer of permafrost, crystals were hidden that millions of years ago started from a single carbon atom.
ASM Group specialists visited the famous quarry several times while they were carrying out a hotel reconstruction project in the town of Mirny for Alrosa.

In Barnaul, at the corner of Socialist Avenue and Leo Tolstoy Street, restoration work continues at the cultural heritage site of regional significance, the Sukhov Merchants' Estate.
The merchant's estate, which is one of the three largest merchant complexes of the city, is being “revitalized” literally brick by brick - the walls are being rebuilt, sculptures are being restored and historical facades are being put in order.
After the large-scale restoration, a hotel and a restaurant decorated in the style of the 19th century will open here.
