Located in the southern mountainous part of Ingushetia, the Jeyrakh district occupies the central part of the Caucasus Mountains. This is the birthplace of the Ingush people, the place from which they settled throughout the modern republic. The area is full of architectural monuments, tower complexes and sanctuaries. The largest of them are the Erzi tower complex, the ancient Christian temple of Thaba-Yerdy, etc.
Being one of the most ecologically clean places on the planet, the Jeyrakh district is known for its reserves created to preserve the unique mountain ecosystem. The Jeyrakh-Assin Museum-Reserve includes more than 1000 monuments of nature, history and culture. In the protected areas of the area lives many species of animals, plants and birds. The highest peaks of Ingushetia, such as Mount Shan (4500 m) and Mount Stolovaya Met-Lam (2993 m), are located in this area. This area is called the “second Switzerland” for its picturesque mountain landscapes. It attracts tourists and athletes.
Jeyrakh district is rich not only with impressive monuments of history and nature. There are health centers aimed at the treatment of the respiratory system, cardiovascular and nervous system. The climate of the area is very favorable for improving the condition of the body and rehabilitation after diseases.
Day of Indigenous Peoples of Russia: a festive game program at the House of Culture.
On Saturday, August 9, 2025, employees of the House of Culture in the village of Jeyrakh organized an exciting game program dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Indigenous Peoples of Russia.
On August 13, 2025, employees of the House of Culture of Lyazhgi village held an important preventive meeting with residents on the topic “How to defeat corruption”.
The participants learned about the essence and types of corruption, discussed its negative consequences for society and the economy of the region.
The organizers provided information on historical and modern measures to combat this social evil and explained the mechanism of bringing guilty persons to criminal responsibility for corrupt acts. The meeting became a significant event in shaping the legal culture of residents and strengthening the civic position of the local community.
The “Pack a Child for School” charity event initiated by State Duma deputy Beslan Alievich Barakhoyev brought joy and benefit to many families in the Jeyrakhsky district of Ingushetia.
Within its framework 149 brightly colored briefcases and sets of school supplies were handed over to children from large, single-parent and socially unprotected families. Each child received the necessary educational materials to start school comfortably and confidently, feeling the care and attention of society.
The main event in the transport infrastructure
of the Jayrakh district—the reconstruction of a 7.5-kilometer road (more than 4 km in the village of Jayrakh) was completed ahead of schedule.
Among the measures taken:
-the road surface was completely replaced;
-over 60 new traffic signs were installed;
-modern road markings were applied and reliable barrier fences were installed.
The head of the House of Culture branch in the village of Lyazhgi, Khutiev A. M., took part in the grand opening of the My Business center in Ingushetia.
Now local entrepreneurs and creative initiatives will have access to a wide range of services and consulting support.
The collaboration between culture and business is an important step in the development of the region. The “My Business” center will become a platform for: developing creative projects, supporting local initiatives, training entrepreneurs, and facilitating the implementation of cultural programs.
Work continues on a large-scale renovation of public areas in the village of Dzhayrakh.
The creation of convenient and sought-after public spaces contributes to improving the quality of life.
All work is scheduled to be completed by the end of October 2025.
Ingushetia's Minister of Culture Zalina Lyanova visited the Mamillov House Museum in Dzheirakh.
During her visit, she viewed the museum's collection, which includes more than 500 exhibits, and the exhibitions presented by museum employee Ashat Khabrieva.
Zalina Lyanova noted the importance of developing the museum as one of the key attractions of mountainous Ingushetia, appealing to both residents and visitors to the region.
She emphasized the need to improve the surrounding area and expand the parking lot for the convenience of visitors, given the growing tourist flow and interest in the history and culture of Ingushetia.
In the village of Jayrakh, Ingushetia, a comprehensive public space renovation project is in full swing, aimed at creating comfortable conditions for residents and visitors to the region. Pedestrian areas are being improved, green spaces are being landscaped, and conditions for active recreation and sports are being created. All planned work is expected to be completed by the end of October 2025, which will significantly improve the quality of the urban environment and strengthen the social infrastructure of the settlement.

A lecture on financial and pension literacy was held at the Senior Citizens' Communication Center of the SFR Branch in the Jayrakh District.
Specialists from the Social Fund of Russia Branch in the Republic of Ingushetia spoke about the safe and effective use of banking services, the choice of financial instruments, modern online technologies, and methods of protection against fraud.
Particular attention was paid to protection against fraud and issues of personal financial security.
Work continues on the restoration of the tower village of Furtoug (15th-17th centuries).
This historic complex is located on the slope of Stolovaya Mountain and is an important part of the region's cultural heritage.
Restoration work is being carried out here thanks to the support of Mikhail Gutseriev's SAFMAR Charitable Foundation.
Furtoug is the ancestral village of the Akhriyev, Lyanov, and Borovoy families.
The final stage of the improvement of the public area in the village of Jayrakh has begun, which includes the installation of exterior elements such as fences, canopies, decorative elements, as well as the improvement of the surrounding area—the installation of gazebos, lanterns, benches, paths, parking lots, and landscaping.
The Gladiator Sports Club, based at the Children's and Youth Sports Center (MKU DO DYUSSH) in the Jayrakhsky District, once again demonstrated outstanding achievements, taking first place at the prestigious interregional tournament held on September 28, 2025.
In a fierce battle, the Gladiator team won a brilliant victory over their rivals from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) team in a “wall-to-wall” match. The final score of the match was an impressive 4:0 in favor of our athletes.
The tournament brought together the strongest wrestlers from the regions of the North Caucasus, including representatives from the Chechen Republic, the Republic of Adygea, Dagestan, and Kabardino-Balkaria. Among the participants in the tournament, the active participation of young talents was noted, whose performances inspired the audience and judges with their courage and skill.
An evening event on the theme of “Family Values of the Ingush People” was held at the House of Culture in the village of Lyazhgi. The guests of the evening were employees and students of the elementary school.
Kharzieva Radimkhan and Ozdoyeva Eset, who attended the event with their grandchildren, shared their family traditions, talked about how Ingush family traditions and customs have changed since their childhood, why this is happening, and what has remained the same.
The teachers held an informative discussion with the children about the traditional family values of the Ingush people, their role in preserving the cultural code, and the importance of passing them on from generation to generation. The students recalled Ingush legends that mention family traditions and customs, guessed riddles, and repeated proverbs about the family.
After the conversation, following the tradition of hospitality, the staff of the House of Culture invited the guests to the table, where a feast had been prepared. They told the children about the tradition of seating guests and the culture of behavior at the table. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, over a cup of tea.
The second international forum on sustainable development of mountainous regions began on October 1 in the capital of Dagestan.
One of the key events of the forum will be an open meeting of the Working Group on Legal Regulation of the Development and Preservation of Mountainous Regions in Russia. The group was created under the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Areas.
The head of the Dzhayrakhsky Municipal District, Ahmed Lyanov, is participating in the forum.
A Mountain Hospitality Center will open in the Jayrakh district next year.
The project is being implemented with the support of Rosmolodezh as part of the national project “Youth and Children” and the competition “Region for Young People.”
The site will be located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters above sea level and will become a venue for master classes on national cuisine, crafts, and open lectures.
The center aims to bring young people together, provide opportunities for self-realization, and attract tourists.
