Urus-Martan is a town in the Chechen Republic. It is the administrative center of the Urus-Martan municipal district. It is located on the Martan River (on both banks) 18 km from Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic.

The oldest artifacts found by archaeologists in the town and nearby areas date back to the VI-V centuries BC. The aul itself was founded in 1708 by natives of different Chechen taipas.

The town's main attractions are the Dondi-Yurt open-air museum and the Serain-Torӏe ethnographic museum.

The nearest settlements are: Gekhi, Goity, Alkhan-Yurt.

Now more than 65 thousand people live in the city.
