Metskhal is a large castle-type tower complex on the spur of Mät Loam Mountain, 0.5 km northeast of Falkhan. It consisted of two powerful tower castle complexes. The first had a five-story battle tower with a flat roof with a jagged wedding. Eight residential towers of the castle reached three floors. In one of them hung on chains a huge copper boiler (one and a half meters high), during the siege, water was boiled in it, which was poured over the besiegers. The battle tower of the second complex also had five floors, a flat roof with a jagged finish, 18 meters high.

In 1944, the towers were blown up, now the complex is in ruins. To our days, two pillar-shaped sanctuaries have not survived: the core-shaped mausoleum and the late medieval temple-sanctuary of Metskhali.

The tower complex was the administrative, cultural and economic center of the late medieval Jeiraho-Metskhal mountain-Ingush society.

The tower complex of Metskhal is part of the Jeirakh-Assin State Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve and is an identified object of cultural heritage protected by the state.
