Hamkhi is one of the largest tower settlements of Mountain Ingushetia castle (terraced-tiered) type. It is located in the center of the Targim basin on the left bank of the Assy River. Administratively, the settlement is part of the Dzheyrakh district of the Republic of Ingushetia, is located within the boundaries of the Dzheyrakh-Assin State Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve.

The architectural complex of Hamha is represented by many historical objects - combat, semi-combat and residential towers, crypt burial grounds, cyclopean tower-type dwellings, sanctuaries, the foundation of an ancient mosque.

Tower buildings with a severe monumental appearance, erected on a steep rocky slope. In the lower part of the spur, under the village, on a vast territory stretched necropolis. It consists of tombs of various types - underground, semi-underground and ground. The cemetery is separated from the village by a road running from the bottom of the gorge and crossing the slope in the direction from north to south.

On six objects of the complex there is a sanctuary and towers - two combat, two semi-combat, one residential. In 2016, emergency and repair and restoration work was carried out here.
