If in the Middle Ages, the Ingush buried their relatives in crypts, and their ancestors seemed to be nearby, then with the adoption of Islam, the first cemeteries appeared within the village, later beyond the village. The Ingush buried and buried relatives in the land of their ancestors.

In the mountainous Ingushetia preserved small cemeteries of several dozen burials, most often fenced stone fence. There are single burials with different in shape tombstones-steles, hills with stone lining. It is interesting to note that the stone boxes that once existed in the mountains were later expressed in the fact that early Muslim burials were covered with masonry. There are high stone tombstones with an Arabic inscription and date of burial.

The Early Muslim Cemetery, which belongs to the Lower Puy tower complex, is located 200 m north of the complex. It consists of 25 tombstone steles and 2 stone boxes.
