Niy is a large tower complex 2 km east of Päling, located in the Jeirach district, at the foot of the Tsorei Loam mountain. Tower complex Niy built XV-XVII centuries.

Five castles of the complex have preserved four battle towers, one semi-combat building and more than a dozen residential buildings with various annexes.

Two battle towers have 6 floors and reach a 30-meter height, and the remaining 5-storey height of 22.00 m and 25.00 m.

The double tower has an almost square base of 4 floors with a separate special upper battlefield and reaches a height of 14.00 m.

In 2023, one combat and 4 residential towers were restored. In the summer of 2023, another battle tower was discovered at the base.

Residential towers in terms of rectangular, had 2-3 floors, flat roof with a high parapet. Each castle had a high defensive wall of different lengths. Previously unknown petroglyphs were discovered at the Ny Tower Complex and inserted into residential towers during restoration work.

On the territory of the Tower complex of Niy there are 2 underground, 6 semi-underground and 5 terrestrial collective tombs of the late Middle Ages, as well as a crypt with a memorial chamber open from the facade and a sanctuary pillar 500 m to the east.

In the south of the Niy Tower complex in 10-20 m is a former Muslim cemetery, which has steles with Arabic script.

The tower complex of Niy is part of the Dzheyrah-Assin State Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve. It is an identified object of cultural heritage.

The Jeyrakh-Assin historical, architectural and natural museum-reserve is located within the boundaries of the Jeyrakh district of the Republic of Ingushetia on the northern slopes of the foothills of the Central part of the Greater Caucasus Range. The reserve was established on June 2, 1988. The area of the reserve is slightly more than 627 square kilometers. The activity of the reserve is aimed at ensuring the preservation, restoration and study of territorial complexes of cultural and natural heritage, material and spiritual values in their traditional historical (cultural and natural) environment. On the territory of the museum-reserve there are 122 ancient architectural complexes, including more than 2,670 objects of cultural significance, including defensive and residential towers, burial crypts, Christian and pagan sanctuaries and temples. The oldest buildings of the megalithic type belong to the middle of the second millennium BC. Every year, significant scientific discoveries are made on the territory of the reserve, new objects are identified, archaeological expeditions are constantly working, scientists from all over the world come. Since 1996, the reserve has been a candidate for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Significant value in the reserve is given to work on creating conditions for the development of organized tourism, its educational and service component.
