Piyzha (Puozhakh) is a historical ruin of a Chechen village located in the Itum-Kali district of the Chechen Republic, in the valley of the Kerigo River, a tributary of the Argun River. The name Piyzha translates from Vainakh as “hidden from the sun”, indicating its location in a shady area.

Of all the structures that have survived to this day, one ruinized dwelling tower remains on the territory of Piyzha.

Judging by the surviving traces, it could have been a residential complex, which included not only residential buildings but also household facilities.

To reach Piyzha, one has to drive from Grozny towards Itum-Kali and then along the mountain roads leading to the Kerigo River valley. The area is inaccessible, so it is recommended to use the services of local guides who specialize in excursions in Chechnya's mountainous regions.

Piyzha (Puozhakh) is a cultural heritage site and is located on the territory of the Argun Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve. It is protected by the state.
