The Kachekhoy combat tower is located in the Sandakhoy Gorge, on the left bank of the Sharo-Argun River, almost at its source, not far (0.5 km.) from the ruins of the medieval village of Kebasoi, on a high rocky cliff in the village of Phiede. The tower was a signal and watchtower guarding the mountain road from Tusheti to Sharoi and Chanty-Argun gorge. It is dated XIV-XVI centuries.
