Sandahoy Tower

Sandakhoy Tower is located near the border with Georgia to the southwest of the village of Sandakhoy, Sharoy district of the Chechen Republic, where its right tributary flows into the Sharo-Argun River. To the north of the tower, 70 meters away are the ruins of stone residential buildings. They follow the path to Tushetia (Georgia).

Tower type semi-combat, oriented to the cardinal points, in plan has a trapezoidal base. The height of the preserved part is 5.0 m. On the surviving walls are placed narrow loopholes and window openings. The walls narrowing to the top are made of slate stone. The thickness at the base is 0.65 m. There was no pillar inside the tower.

Sandakhoy Tower is an object of cultural heritage and is located on the territory of the Argun Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve.
